Meet some of our champion Danes who won us the title of Top Great Dane breeder in 2010.

Betty made breed history as the youngest champion to be made up since 1911 at just 12 months and five days old – she has since won 25 CCs during her show career. Betty retired in March 2011 after her final win as Best of Breed at the Manchester Championship Show. Her winning temperament and wagging tail has also won many hearts – she loved showing.

Abbey was BPIS Dane of the Year in 2008 and overall winner of both Junior Stakes in 2009 and Champion Stakes, judged by Betty Flavel at South Wales Championship Show October 2011. She has also won 9 CCs to date, 8 RCCs and 6 Best of Breeds. She is the younger sister of Merribox Love Struck and is owned by Rick, Jan and Marie Day and Charlie Fry.

.: Taylor winning Best Bitch under Freda Marshall in 2009 :.

Taylor is Abbey’s little sister. She won BPIS at Midland and West Colour Format under Bill Browne-Cole and Best Bitch at South Western GDC Super League Final under Freda Marshall in 2009. Taylor also won 2 RCCS in 2010 under Ken Humphries and Helen Hankins, as well as a CC, a Best of Breed and Working Group 4 in the same year under Susan Cottrell and Peter Radley.

.: Ellie had great poise and showed great potential even as a puppy :.

Ellie is the younger sister of Abbey and Betty. She won her Minor Puppy Class at her first show, held by the South Wales Kennel Association, under breed specialist Janet Alford.

Vanmore in the Wings with Merribox

Winnie was mother to Champion Merribox Love Struck and Champion Merribox Love Affair at Janriche. She was named Top Working Dog by Dog World in 2010. Her earlier wins include Best Puppy in Show at the Great Dane Club of South Wales under Margaret Hallam and 1st Minor Puppy Bitch at Bath under breed specialist Judith Middleton. She was also Best Puppy in Show at the Great Dane Club under Mrs Godefroid and Joanne Bendle.
